Vasudha y Alex vinieron desde Colorado atraídos por la belleza y la buena comida del País Vasco y es por eso que escogieron celebrar su boda india en Bodega Katxina. Las destination Wedding planners Laurel&Rose, también de Colorado, contactaron con nosotras para formar parte del equipo. Fueron dos días de celebración inolvidables.
En el primero de ellos, tuvimos el placer de fotografiar la tradicional ceremonia Haldi en el Hotel Londres de San Sebastián. Es un ritual pre-boda hindu en el que los familiares y amigos, aplican un pasta de cúrcuma en la cara, manos y piernas de la pareja. Es un proceso que realizan para embellecer a la pareja el día antes de la boda y ¡qué bien se lo pasaron en este momento! El día terminó con un fiesta entre amigos y familia en el restaurante Nineu. En la India lo llaman Sangeet night, que significa, noche de música, donde no solo se celebra la unión de la pareja, sino también el vínculo entre ambas familias. Paella, jamón y henna, de la mano de Henna by Pat, se mezclaron con la fiesta que montó Exel DJ, que se encargó de que todos levantaran las manos al ritmo de música india.
El segundo día comenzó con los preparativos de Vasudha en el Hotel Maria Cristina con maquillaje y peluquería de Amaia Weddings. Cambiando de vestimenta por tercera vez, con un vestido increíble de Anita Dongre, Vasudha dejó a Alex con la boca abierta en el first look. Para cuando llegamos a Bodega Katxina, las chicas de Flowers and Co., ya habían decorado el impresionante lugar donde se celebró la ceremonia que se encargó de amenizar Jairom Black. Las mesas del banquete no podían estar mas bonitas gracias al material de Canigueral y Hazel Eye design. Attracted by the beauty of our landscapes and good food, Vasudha and Alex came from Colorado to the Basque Country to celebrate their Indian wedding at Bodega Katxina. Destination wedding planners Laurel & Rose, also from Colorado, wrote us to be part of the team. Everyone made sure they were two unforgettable days of celebration.
During the first day, we had the pleasure of photographing the traditional Haldi ceremony at Hotel Londres in San Sebastian. The Haldi is a Hindu pre-wedding ritual in which family and friends apply a turmeric paste on the couple’s face, hands and legs. It is a process they do to beautify the couple the day before the wedding. As you can see in the photos below, they sure had a great time! The day ended with a party with friends and family at the Nineu restaurant. In India, they call it Sangeet night, which means, music night. This night they celebrate the union of the couple and also the bond between the two families. Paella, ham, and henna, beautifully done by Henna by Pat, along with the party that Exel DJ set up, everyone danced and raised their hands to the rhythm of Indian music.
The second day began with Vasudha’s preparations at the Maria Cristina Hotel with makeup and hairdressing done by Amaia Weddings. Changing clothes for the third time, Vasudha wore an incredible Anita Dongre dress, which left Alex with his mouth open during the first look. By the time we arrived at Bodega Katxina, the girls from Flowers and Co. had already decorated the impressive place where the ceremony was held and enlivened by Jairom Black. The banquet tables could not be more beautiful thanks to the material of Canigueral and Hazel Eye design.
